It's Ellery's World....

Another one of my mommy blogger friends made a list of all the "latests" for her sweet baby. I thought it was a great idea so I'm going to be a copy cat!! So...here's what's going on in Elle's world...

• She has been sitting up all by herself for about 4 weeks now and loves this new freedom
• Blowing raspberries is her favorite thing to do. It doesn't matter if she just took a big bite of green beans or we are right in the middle of church...she loves to do it! AND....if another child starts blowing raspberries and she sees them, she will make it her main mission to blow harder and louder!!
• She graduated to a size 3 diaper last week. That means she is no longer in the "swaddlers" she is in the "cruisers"!!
• Because she is so long she had been wearing 6-9 month clothes since she was about 5 months. I'm not sure how much longer they will last before we jump to 9-12 month!
• She has no interest in rolling over or crawling, but stands like a champ. Dr. T thinks she may go straight to walking. Daddy says that is like skipping a grade in school, so that is okay with him.
• She LOVE music. Really any kind of music is fine with her. She listens to silly kiddo songs with mommy while we play and ride in the car and she listens to everything from Pat Green to Papa Roach with Daddy during bath time.
• She loves to dance! And so far it looks like she got her moves from daddy. Wide base stance and sways back and forth! She does this to her tunes in the Exersaucer! It pretty funny!
• She loves to suck on her toes....really just her two big toes.
• Favorite foods (at least ones she doesn't spit out) are: apples, pears, peaches, apples and blueberries, carrots, sweet potatoes, green beans, and sweet peas
• Not-so-favorite foods: squash, bananas, and potatoes
• Dr. T told us to start trying soft finger foods. So far we have tried toast with butter, puffs, and cheese slices. She is still trying to get the hang of this concept and the toast is the only one that has actually made it to the mouth and stayed.
• She LOVES shiny jewelery! What a girl!! She constantly grabs at Daddy's watch and Aggie ring and Mommy's rings and necklace.
• We are still breast feeding and she does so good with it! She doesn't fight me. The only challenge we have had is when she knows daddy is in the room! She loves to "look" at him.
• She is a complete Daddy's girl! When daddy gets home from work she lights up like Time Square!!
• She loves to swing in the baby swing at the park. We have a neighborhood park down the street and we've gone there almost everyday for the last month or so to swing.
• She is such an outdoors girl! Maybe because I have been taking her on walks since she was only days old, but she gets so excited to be outside whether it is at the park, taking a walk or just sitting in the yard blowing bubbles.
• She is such a good sleeper! She goes down for the night at around 7:30pm and wakes up about 7:00am. Then she takes 2-3 good 1-1.5 hour naps during the day!
• She is starting it pull up on things to a standing position! Scary!!

I think this pretty much sums it up for now. I think I may make this a regular post!! Thanks for the idea Lisa!!
